Reaction to Danger Some hazards are immediate, some not, be able to prioritise them in order of importance. Generally slow down as your first reaction, which gives more time to work out what’s happening. If you have to swerve at speed the car will be most stable if you keep a steady speed. Do not swerve and brake hard at the same time - it may cause you to spin (even with ABS)
